Experimental practical
Since my chosen specialist study is the research into facial expressions and movement within cartoons, I decided to draw some facial expressions myself, highlighting some of the basic expressions. I drew these in Photoshop.
A small animation created while experimenting with the first principle of animation, squash and stretch. I applied this principle to the moon within the animation, it essentially being a bouncing ball.

I added sound effects accordingly and put it all together using both Photoshop and Premiere pro.
Bill Plympton's 'Your Face'
Inspired partly by Bill Plymptons hand drawn animation 'Your Face', I created this short animation, using the template of the facial expressions I had drawn earlier. I used the timeline in Photoshop and made the face go through a cycle of odd and unusual expressions.
Once again looking at facial expression and the movement that comes with it, I made this short loop of animation. Mainly to practice head movement, I am very happy with how this turned out as a part of my experimental research. I used Adobe Photoshop to get all the poses in the right order and sketch everything out, and then lined and coloured using Procreate.
